Darlington Sunday Peoples Market

This is Darlington > Shopping > Darlington Sunday Peoples Market

A NEW market will be held once a month on the first Sunday of every month in Darlington town centre to bring Sunday shoppers more variety and choice of high quality products. The Sunday People’s Market, is being held on Blackwellgate, West Row and High Row, and will offer shoppers distinctive, high end products from independent traders.
The first Sunday People’s Market was held on Sunday 5 August from 11am-3pm, with subsequent markets planned for 2 September, 7 October and 4 November.
The Sunday People’s Market will be run by Darlington Sunday People’s Market, a group of local people who are working to ensure the town centre thrives and the Borough’s market heritage is enhanced. The market will be hosted by Darlington Council’s markets team.
The new Sunday People’s Market has really shown the quality, niche goods that local independent traders can offer and a real boost to our great range of existing daily covered, twice weekly outdoor and monthly craft and farmers’ markets. We have stalls ranging from fine art jewellery, pictures, crafts, candles, ethnic and retro clothing, home made cakes, fudge, bread, pies, ice cream.
Any independent trader wishing to set up stall at the new market should contact the committee team on dspm.darlington@live.co.uk or the Council’s Markets team markets@darlington.gov.uk.
Tolls for a 3m square gazebo are £15 for October and £20 for November and thereafter. Table hire is £2 per table per day.
